Service Description

At Clip & Polish, we offer a gentle Puppy Programme designed to gradually introduce your new family member to the grooming experience from 12 weeks old. Our aim is to help your puppy grow up feeling confident, calm, and happy being groomed — both at home and here in the grooming pod. Visit 1 – Free of Charge Once your puppy is fully vaccinated, we begin with a relaxed, half-hour introductory session. They’ll be gently introduced to me, the grooming pod, and all the sights and sounds they’ll experience during future visits. During this appointment, I’ll also share tips and advice with you on how to care for and maintain your puppy’s coat between grooms. Visit 2 – Half Price Around 2–4 weeks after the first visit, your puppy returns for their first light grooming experience. They’ll enjoy a warm hydrobath using a gentle puppy-friendly shampoo, followed by a soft towel dry and gentle use of the dryer. We’ll also provide basic ear and paw care. This visit lasts around an hour and helps your puppy get used to the grooming process in a calm, positive way. Visit 3 – Full Groom By the third visit — usually 2–4 weeks after visit 2 — your puppy should feel relaxed, settled, and confident in the grooming pod. They’re now ready for their first full groom, tailored to their breed and coat type, and completed with plenty of reassurance and positive handling.
